What is White Rabbit?
A fast, native iPhone client for Matrix — the open, secure messaging network. It blends the best of Slack, Discord and iMessage into one beautiful, content-first app, with end-to-end encryption baked in.
Is it actually private?
Yes. End-to-end encryption is on by default — the cryptography is handled by the audited Matrix Rust SDK, your keys stay on your device, and message bodies never touch our notification servers. We can't read your messages, and neither can anyone else.
What's Matrix?
Matrix is an open standard for secure, decentralized communication. No single company owns it — you can run your own server or use any provider, and everyone can still talk to each other.
Do I need a special account?
Sign in with any Matrix account — matrix.org, your company's server, or your own homeserver. New to Matrix? You can create an account in seconds.
What does it cost?
The app is free to use. Optional premium theme packs may come later, but messaging, encryption and the core experience stay free.
I used Redpill — what happens to it?
